Year 12
Community
During this very sad time, words simply can’t express the gratitude we feel for the way students, parents and teachers pulled have together and supported one another this week. Students actively branched out, connected with each other, opened up and grieved together. The strength and character of our Year Group has always been based on a strong sense of empathy and compassion which has been of great comfort to all. We are so proud of every single student and the care they continue to show for each other.
Academic Programs
Students have been advised to spend this week focussing on their wellbeing, branching out to each other, seeking help and outlining their support networks. As Week 5 approaches, we will rely on routine and structure to help balance our emotions. Many students have struggled to focus, sleep and meet their own expectations this week. They are reminded that their teachers along with Mr Taylor (Dean of IB) and Mr Randall (Dean of Studies) are also grieving and sympathise with students. Their door is always open and students are encouraged to approach them to discuss any difficulties regarding academic programs and assessments.
