Melbourne Cup Luncheon – Thank You

What a fabulous afternoon at our Redlands Melbourne Cup Luncheon. It was a memorable day at the Sergeants Mess in Chowder Bay as guests enjoyed a gourmet luncheon, entertainment, Fashions on the Field, auctions, raffles and sweeps, all against the backdrop of stunning Sydney Harbour.

Thank you to our MC Rod Hill, Yr 7 and 11 parent, Event Partner Jon Snead The Agency and all prize donors for their generous contributions, as we raised almost $23,000 towards the means-tested Redlands Foundation Scholarship Fund.  This fund will provide the opportunity of a world class contemporary education to a wider range of students.

In addition, I would like to acknowledge Lilia Larcos, Yr 12 parent, who designed the program, and the Redlands Foundation team, supported by the Event Organising Committee, for their exceptional efforts.

Congratulations to the winners of the Fashions on the Field:
Most Elegant Filly – Rachel Charles; Cutting Edge Colt – Peter Casimaty; Millinery Award – Sandy Little; Statement Socks – Phil Walsh; People’s Choice – Erica Bongarzoni.

Congratulations to the raffle and auction winners. If you have not collected your prizes and sweeps, please contact the Foundation Office on 9968 9858. Raffle tickets Orange E90 and Green B81 have not been claimed. Prizes will be kept in the Foundation Office until Friday 15 November, please ensure collection by then or let us know otherwise.

Donor Recognition Wall at the New Learning Hub

We are grateful to the members of our community who have contributed to the New Learning Hub Appeal. This generosity will be recognised in a specially designed wall which will be a permanent feature of the New Learning Hub entrance.

The Family Plaques, created from innovative materials, will create a fabulous mosaic which celebrates the incredible support of our community.

Don’t miss out on securing your own Family Plaque. There are three different sizes based on your donation value. Click on the image below before 31 December 2019 to create a lasting memento of your family’s time at Redlands. These contributions will be dedicated to the final fit-out of this wonderful development.

Year Group Reunions

Class of 1979 – 40 Years Reunion

This reunion was held last Friday, as we welcomed 11 alumnae, Miss Gail Stewart, former Deputy Headmistress, and Dr Jennifer Farrell, President of Redlanders Association. The girls really enjoyed reconnecting with one another, some of whom haven’t seen each other since they walked through the School gates for the last time, 40 years ago! This was at the time when Redlands started its transformation from girls only to coeducational.

Class of 2009 – 10 Year Reunion

We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2009 to celebrate 10 years since their graduation and hearing about their life journeys since leaving Redlands.

This cohort graduated under Dr Lennox as Principal, whilst the Science block and the Liggins Atrium were newly opened, providing a wonderful addition to their educational experience.
