Winter Music Festivals

As we approach the Winter Music Festival Season, students on both the Junior and Secondary Campuses are exploring and extending their musical skills in preparation for a variety of concerts throughout June-August. Staff and students are already well underway in preparing a wide range of repertoire in readiness for the Junior Music Festival (August), Senior Music Festival (June) and the HICES Music Festival (August). The department would like to welcome the school community to be part of these festive concerts. See Redlands Pulse for dates.

Senior Campus Ensemble Rehearsal Attendance

Students are reminded about the importance of regular attendance to all Music Ensemble rehearsals and in meeting goals set at the start of the year in reaching a high standard of performance excellence. Morning rehearsals commence 7.15am and students should be moving to rehearsal rooms by 7.10am. Absence due to camp and/or illness will be the only accepted reason for non-attendance. It is essential that you contact seniormusic@redlands.nsw.edu.au if you are unable to attend any rehearsals.

Junior Campus

Junior Campus Ensemble Rehearsal Attendance

A reminder that punctual attendance at all ensembles is an expectation of all students enrolled in Cocurricular Ensembles. Prep Ensembles commence at 7.45am, with supervision from 7.35am and Junior School Ensembles commence at 7.15am with supervision from 7.05am. The exception to these times are Junior Voices, Guitar Ensemble and Jazz Band which all commence promptly at 7.30am. Attendance is integral as all ensembles have begun rehearsing for upcoming events.
