Community Update
It was a pleasure to attend the first meetings of the RPFA and Secondary School Parent Contact Groups (PCG) this week, where community activities and projects were shared and discussed. Thank you to our various parent group volunteers and leaders who continue to explore ways to keep our community connected, included and supported within the many and varied aspects of school life. If you are looking to connect with our community for support then please reach out to the passionate and diverse experience of our class and year group parents, the RPFA and Friends of Groups that support Redlands families.
We look forward to welcoming our community to the much loved Twilight in the Garden event next Friday 21 February. Twilight in the Garden, for parents and carers, provides a wonderful opportunity for our new families to connect with our School community on the Fahl Garden on our Senior Campus. Fingers crossed the weather holds for us this year! We are expecting this to be another sold out event so please purchase your tickets early here.
Redlands is delighted to launch ‘Voice Notes’, a speaker series dedicated to illuminating and discussing challenges and opportunities that impact education. Our Voice Notes series kicks off with a breakfast event on International Women’s Day (IWD) with Julie Inman – Grant, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner, leading a vital conversation, on the advancement of gender equality, empowerment, and safety in an increasingly digital world. Revenue generated from this very special event will be donated to Mary’s House Services who provide essential accommodation for women and their children fleeing domestic and family violence or abuse. Tickets for this not to missed event can be purchased here.
A reminder that the best place to stay up to date on what’s happening at Redlands is through Pulse. We will shortly be running some sessions on how to use Pulse effectively and intuitively to access all of the vital information our community seeks – contact information, term dates, calendars, events, sport fixtures, school and absentee notices and other key links. More information on these sessions will follow very soon.
I remain grateful for the continued guidance and support our community provides and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly or the wider Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
