Future Think Careers Day: Yr 10 Support
Last Friday, the Yr 8 cohort took part in a new initiative – the Future Think: Career Clusters Challenge Day where dove into hands-on, real-word scenario activities that explored their strengths through six Career Clusters: Makers, Linkers, Guardians, Informers, Coordinators and Innovators.
The day included collaborative challenges that encouraged students to use their strengths in creative ways. By focusing on skills rather than specific jobs, we are helping our students build confidence and adaptability for any career path they choose. This was aptly facilitated by the following Yr 10 students who worked closely with the Yr 8 students to think creatively, independently and collaboratively:

Year 10 Leadership Project: Yr 6 Connect with Yr 10
On Wednesday morning, the first of the Yr 6 and Yr 10 groups had the opportunity to connect in the Arnold Library. This session was fun, engaging, and facilitated by Yr 10 students who led a variety of connection games. The informal and relaxed setting allowed the students to begin building rapport with the Senior School students, gaining insights into each other in a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere. It was wonderful to see the students laughing and connecting over a range of games and great conversations. Year 10 students are very much looking forward to the next session! Thank you to the following Yr 10 students who volunteered their time to support our current Yr 6 students through this initiative:
- William Birse
- Genevieve Holt
- Millie Salmond
- Zara Anderson
- Lachlan Price-Pontifex
- Holly Smith
- Dian Wichgers
- Marcus Richardson
- Oliver Parker
- Duncan Black-Middlebrook

Chapel Focus: Dadirri
Today in Chapel, Ms Phillips focused on the First Nations practice of deep listening, an almost spiritual skill, based on respect, that’s called ‘Dadirri’. In Aboriginal dialect, this means ‘inner deep listening and quiet still awareness and waiting.’ Yr 10 students were called to reflect on this practice, and consider how they might integrate it into their own lives.
