Redlands Inaugural Sports Luncheon – Celebrating 120 Years of Redlands Sports
This is a great opportunity for our whole school community to learn more about the history and current offering and role of Sports education at Redlands whilst meeting parents across Sports, Year Groups and Redlands leadership. Tables will be organised by Year Groups and/or Sports, eg. Netball, Snowsports, Basketball, Rugby etc. which you indicate when you make your booking.
Our Guest Speakers, past Redlands students, will share their very inspiring journey:
Karyn Gojnich (Davis), Sailing, Class of 1978 (Olympic medalist, Redlander and former Redlands parent)
Janusz Hooker, Rowing, Class of 1987 (Olympic medallist, Atlanta 1996)
Lachlan Mackay, Rugby, Class of 2000 (Wallaby and Brumby)
Holly Crawford, Snowsports, Class of 2001 (Olympic Snowboarder)
One of our esteemed alumni speakers, who will be sharing with us his inspiring sports journey, is Lachlan Mackay, Class of 2000. While attending Redlands, Lachlan was a Prefect and the Captain of Rugby. Lachlan represented and was part of many successful school teams including Basketball, Athletics, Cricket and Rugby. It was Rugby though where Lachlan’s passion lay and after representing the Australian Schoolboys in 2000, he went on to have a successful career including captaining the Australian U21s to a World Cup Final and representing the Wallabies against the NZ All Blacks. Having a Rugby career that resulted in nine surgeries, it may not be a coincidence that Lachlan is now working in Sports Medicine as a Sales Representative for Smith and Nephew.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Alumni News
Alumni Parent Morning Tea
Last Friday morning the Foundation Office welcomed Redlander parents to enjoy a morning tea get together in the Top Terraces on the Senior Campus. Alumni parents across eight different classes shared their memories and current news as Redlander parents.
Thank you to Ari Guha (Head of Junior School) and Audrey Fellowes (Head of Early Childhood) for attending this lovely event. We look forward to hosting another Alumni Morning Tea later this year.
“Redlands to me as a student was a place of belonging and community where I made lifelong friendships and was provided with a solid foundation and preparedness for the future. As a parent, I am confident my children will reflect on their Redlands experience and feel the same”. Natalie Davies (Riches), Class of 1987.
“I loved my time at Redlands but that didn’t necessarily mean that my children would come here. However, I am so glad they did – while buildings change, teachers come and go and a school evolves over time, at Redlands the underlying philosophy of “let your light shine” remains”. Jennie Cadman (Govey) Class of 2000.
Reunion of Class of 2014
The Class of 2014 reunited on Friday night to celebrate five years since their graduation from Redlands. Welcome drinks in the Roseby Library were followed by a tour of the John Roberts Centre. Thank you to Ms Sarah McGarry, Deputy Principal, and many Redlands staff who came to meet with this successful and friendly cohort.
“Thanks for organising the drinks and tour. It was a great night and so good to see so many people back where we left off five years ago”. Shemara Selvaratnam, Class of 2014.
Reunion of Class 1969 – Friday 29 March
This reunion will take place at The Oaks Hotel commencing at 7.00pm and we will be hosting pre-drinks on the Senior Campus commencing at 5.30pm. Bookings open here.
