Basketball
Our 1st Boys & 1st Girls Basketball squads participated in the ISA pre-season tournaments over the weekend. It was great to see our top students back in action. The 1st Boys finished in 6th place after three wins and three losses on the day. The 1st Girls finished in 2nd place after three fantastic wins over St Spyridon College, Central Coast Grammar School and Oakhill College, a narrow 6 point loss to Barker resulted in the team finishing in 2nd place.
We look forward to seeing our Basketball teams in action for Round 1 this Saturday 22nd October. A reminder the fixture details can be found in the following locations:
Redlands Pulse – Basketball Page (draft draw)
Redlands Pulse – Fixtures tab (weekly fixtures updated by 4pm each Tuesday)
These fixture details will also be available on student timetables, along with the training schedule.
Please make Redlands Pulse your first source of all Secondary School Sport information for the upcoming season.

Touch Football
As we prepare for round one of ISA this weekend, please be reminded information will be updated weekly on Pulse.
All students should arrive in full playing uniform 30 minutes before their scheduled fixture to allow for adequate warm up.
Wet weather updates will be sent to parents and students via email if alternate plans are to be made.
Thanks for a great preseason, let the games begin!
Let’s go Rhinos!!!
Tennis
Thank you to the Tier 1 students who were able to attend the additional match preparation training over the weekend! For those who were not able to make it or had the weekend off, please make sure to review competition rules and court etiquette before the start of NSTA and TNB this Saturday 22 October. It is important all competition players are able to keep track and call the score in both doubles and singles. The playing roster for the term has been released so please make sure to check it regularly as changes can be made. Please request switching of reserves the latest Thursday 12pm the week of the round and notify your teammates of these changes. Development Squad will also start this week at Lane Cove from 8-9am and 9-10am.
Good luck for your first round of competition this weekend!
Please contact Ms Caitlin Wong should you have any questions regarding Summer Tennis.
Sailing
Redlands Sailing kicks off last week, with some great wind and sunny conditions. This week we continue to have good wind forecasted, just a little more rain. The second round of the Redlands series will take place this week and it will be the first round to count towards the seasons overall point score. The series is an opportunity for Redlands sailors to practice their fleet racing skills in their set teams against each other.
This term, our Redlands sailors will be training up to compete in their first interschool competition of the season, the Redlands Sailing Cup. The competition has already attracted entries from Cranbrook, Ascham, Riverview and the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron. The Redlands Sailing Cup will take place on 12 November at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron.

The 2022 ISA Rugby Season was celebrating in style over the weekend with Redlands Rugby hosting its annual End of Season Presentation. All teams were represented, and I cannot thank the Friends of Rugby for all of their work in preparing such an incredible event.
It was an absolute privilege to have two special guests attend the event with Wallaby and Redlander Dave Porecki also joined by current Waratahs Academy and Sydney University 1stXV Colts player Oscar Hicks, both meeting and chatting with students for the entire day.
