Year 8
Happy Holidays
As we come to the end of another busy and exciting term, I would like to wish our Yr 8 students and families a restful and rejuvenating break. And what a term it has been – it has been so encouraging to see our Yr 8’s embrace new opportunities and cement others, laugh and socialise in the playground and take part in a the full spectrum of activities on offer at Redlands. This level of engagement was abundantly clear at our Year Meeting this week, where an outstanding number of our cohort were awarded Merit Certificates and Pockets for their contributions to the Redlands community.
House Spirit Fair
Last Friday afternoon, Yr 8 students took part in the House Spirit Fair, hosted by the Yr 12 Student Leadership Team. Students enjoyed and competed in many activities including 3v3 Basketball, Chalk Drawing, Dodgeball, Handball and Chess, as well as Lip sync battles and Just Dance. Yr 8 were all smilies, excited by the opportunity to mingle across grades. They took particular delight in the Pie Face Throwing, alongside some incredibly competitive games of Basketball. It was truly wonderful to see Yr8 embrace the afternoon, and to reward themselves after the very busy term.
NSWCIS Athletics
NSWCIS Athletics was held on Tuesday 20, September and the following Yr8 students competed at these prestigious as part of the ISA Team. Congratulations to: Ashley Corn, Joel Daily, Amber Kusano and Elizabeth Whelan.
Snowsports Achievement
