Year 11

Yr 11 Yearly Examinations

Best of luck to all the Year 11 students completing their Yearly Examinations this week. Yr 11 have done a wonderful job, arriving on time for their examinations and heading directly home after the examination. The examinations will conclude on Tuesday next week. 

Student Achievement 

Well done to Hugo McKay who recently represented Manly FC at the National Premier League Men’s Grand Final last weekend at Commbank Stadium, Parramatta. His team were runners-up; however, it was such a rewarding experience for Hugo to step up into the Premier League. 

Congratulations to the following students who achieved excellent results at the NSW Alpine Snowsports championships:

  • Division 1 Female Alpine Team 3rd Place (Momo Elsworth (4th), Sienna Wessels (18th), Julia Murphy (19th), Brontë Backhouse)
  • Division 1 Female Moguls Team 4th Place (Julia Murphy (7th), Sienna Wessels (12th), Momo Elsworth) 
  • Division 1 Female Snowboard GS (Sienna Wessels (3rd)
  • Division 1 Female Snowboard GS (Sienna Wessels (4th)
  • Division 1 Male Alpine team: Nicholas Fitzhenry, Ethan McFarlane, William Byron 
  • Division 1 Male Moguls team: Nicholas Fitzhenry , Ethan McFarlane
  • Division 1 Male Skier Cross team: Nicholas Fitzhenry
  • Division 1 Female Moguls team:  Julia Murphy, Sienna Wessels, Momo Elsworth

All of the students mentioned above have been selected to represent Redlands at the Australian Interschools National Snowsports Championships! Congratulations! 

Vinnies Drive 

Yr 9 are running a service project this term that will involve students from across the secondary school bringing in sanitary items for the homeless men of Sydney.

Could Year 11 please get behind this cause by bringing in any of the following items:  

  • Shampoo 
  • Conditioner 
  • Band-aids 
  • Hand sanitiser 

The items will go towards homeless men living in Sydney. It would be great if Yr 10 and Yr 11 students could bring any of these items to school so we are able to package them and give them to people in need. 

A collection box will be located in the school office every day during Week 8 this term where you are able to drop off your supplies.
