Lismore Flooding Fundraiser
Hi Everyone,
Charlie and I are launching a short collection drive and fundraiser to help out a school in Lismore that has been severely impacted by the recent flooding. Recently, while reading the news, I came across images of Trinity Catholic College, and the devastation they experienced at their campus and across the wider community. As their school campus is located beside the Wilson River, they experienced the brunt of the flooding, with all of their buildings being damaged by the floods. After connecting with their principal, he suggested that collecting/fundraising for basic school stationery supplies would be of most use as both the Lismore and Ballina main streets had been affected by the flooding, and such supplies were hard to obtain. Additionally, all students lost their lockers as they had been inundated, and many students’ homes were damaged or destroyed.
So, in order to help out these students and families in this challenging time, we are asking every student to bring in school supplies to their Tutor from Monday 4th April. Boxes will be provided in every tutor classroom. If you are unable to bring in anything, we’d really appreciate it if you were able to donate via a bank transfer to the fundraiser below, where Trinity will be able to buy supplies in bulk. Thank you for your generosity, as the donations will be of great use to those students, especially given the second round of flooding Lismore has been experiencing in the past few days.
