Reminder – Cutlery Library Donations
If you, or anybody you know, have any spare spoons or forks, please donate it to our Junior Campus cutlery library. A container is located outside the canteen for any donations.
Whilst the bamboo cutlery currently being used is biodegradable, it is still single use. A cutlery library would allow the canteen staff to reuse the spoons and forks, further reducing our carbon footprint at Redlands.

Redlands International Day
Tuesday 5 April
International Day is the day when we celebrate Redlands’ diverse international community and highlight the cultures within our school community. Did you know that we have students from over 52 countries on the Junior Campus!
Let’s celebrate this by wearing something that reflects these cultural connections.
Redlands UNICEF Fundraiser – Ukraine Emergency Appeal
Joining on from the fundraising that has started in the Secondary School to support the UNICEF Ukraine Emergency Appeal, Preparatory School students and families are encouraged to consider supporting this cause which I know has personally impacted some of our community considerably.
In particular, I was deeply moved to hear from one Redlands family who have relatives who normally live in Ukraine but are now in various countries across Europe with many who don’t speak English. The family have been trying to assist from Sydney during the night to help them try to find accommodation and deal with visa information as best possible, but the tyranny of distance is very hard.
As a school, we have set a goal of reaching $20,000 by the end of this term and we currently sit at a staggering total of over $9,000 in a few days.
Connected to this, some of our student leaders have organised the sale of slushies next Thursday 7 April for a cost of $2 with all proceeds going to this cause.
Morning Drop Off Times
Just a reminder for our families that Prep drop off is from 8am-8.20am. If you do arrive earlier, please wait with your child outside Prep reception until the door opens. Please do not leave any child waiting alone on Allister Street.
COVID-19 Update
We received notification from AISNSW this week that the isolation requirements have altered slightly for students who are household contacts, as highlighted below.
A household contact of a COVID positive person must isolate for 7 days. Following that time period, they are not obligated to self-isolate for the next 14 days, even if another household contact becomes COVID positive. This means a household contact does not need to self-isolate as a contact more than once in a 21-day period unless the person is diagnosed with COVID-19. In this case they will need to self-isolate again for 7 days as a confirmed case.
If a household contact is notified of a new case within their household after 14 days since they completed their self-isolation, they will need to isolate again for 7 days unless they have previously tested positive, and it has been no more than 12 weeks since they ceased self-isolating as a positive case.
