Don’t miss Battle of the Bands – THIS MONDAY!
This coming Monday 4 April sees the lights shining on our Junior and Senior Rock Bands as they take to the Edwards Auditorium stage to battle it out in their divisions within the Rock event of the year!
Accoladed musician Travis New will be adjudicating the event, and guests will rotate through the John Roberts Centre cross the night – depending on which of the three sessions their child or friend is participating in. Junior Rock bands are our opening acts on the night once again, and there is an allocation of up to 4 tickets per Junior student available by clicking the correct ticket link below.
Indicative ‘earliest’ start times are below to allow fans to plan their arrival in time for the correct session.
DIVISION ONE – 6.00pm
DIVISION TWO – 7.15pm (earliest start time)
DIVISION THREE – 8.00pm (earliest start time)
Technical Rehearsals during the Day
Senior students have been sent their rehearsal schedule directly. Please reach out to the Music Office if any questions arise. Soundcheck for the Junior Rock Band students is during the school day on Monday also. They will be chaperoned to the Senior Campus for rehearsal and should meet Mrs McGlade outside the Junior Music Office at the beginning of recess with their snacks and their instruments.
Tickets
After the Junior Rockers perform, Divisions 1, 2 & 3 are open for parents and friends to attend. Due to the number of Senior performers on the night, there is a limit of 2 tickets per performer for the competition divisions to avoid over-crowding. A reminder also that all guests are required to wear a mask when indoors.

Senior Music Festival 2022 – THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME!
Pencil the date (17 June 2022) in your diary now for a Senior Music Festival you won’t want to miss. In addition to usual cocurricular rehearsals as happen throughout a term, some ADDITIONAL rehearsal requirements have been added to our calendar. These are listed on Pulse under EVENTS, and will be added to iLearn for all participants also. Please note that as an addendum to the letter that went out earlier this week, the rehearsals that landed near the Queen’s Birthday weekend have now been rescheduled to the week before, to allow families to make the most of the long weekend.
Festival T-Shirts
As momentum towards this cornerstone event builds, students are excited at the prospect of reintroducing the Senior Music Festival ‘show t-shirt’. Students will be offered this alternative to school uniform for after-school and weekend rehearsals in the lead up to the event.
If your child is in a cocurricular ensemble or production crew, to assist us ordering the correct sizes, please click the link below to specify your desired size by the last day of Term One (or an approximated size will be ordered on your behalf).

Red Factor (Junior Variety Show) – NEXT FRIDAY!
All performers are now busy preparing for next Friday’s concert! Following the careful consideration of COVIDsafe requirements, we will be in contact with families shortly to advise of the feasibility of parent attendance.
Performers are asked to please ensure that submitted backing tracks and technical requirements / specifications are with Mrs Roberts by the end of the day on Friday.
