Year 9

Welcome back to Term 3! While we learn remotely, it has been encouraging to see students logging in, interacting in Tutor and class breakout rooms and trying to stay connected as much as they can via Zoom.  Thank you for checking pertinent updates and information via Redlands Pulse, email notifications and Note Day.

Zoom Expectations and Reminders

Students have transitioned very well this week to the Remote Learning schedule. In Tutor, students revisited the expectations and procedures for learning remotely. While most students are doing exactly what is needed to be done, we do ask for your support to help ensure the following:

  • Please check internet access and alert the Year Advisor if students are dropping in and out of lessons
  • Students should be in their Sport uniform
  • Students are expected to have their cameras on for the duration of the lesson
  • If students do miss a class for any reason, please send a note to SSAbsence@redlands.nsw.edu.au so we can ensure our attendance records are accurate and up to date

If there are any issues with the items above, please message the Year Advisor so we can ensure relevant staff are notified.

New Cowper Yellow Tutor

We welcome Ms. Rosanna Peterson to our Yr 9 Pastoral Team.  As she also teachers History, your child may encounter her in Tutor or in their subject course.

Yr 9 into Yr 10 Information Evening

This presentation took place via Zoom this week and all slides and information regarding subject selection for Yr 10 will be uploaded to the Yr 9 page of Redlands Pulse. Thank you to all students and parents for logging in promptly, it was an impressive start to the evening as Mrs Gemma Van de Peer and Mr David Randall shared important information regarding course selection.
