Arts Luncheon – Thank You to our Community
Yesterday our community got together at the Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron, the home of the Redlands Sailing program, to celebrate the vibrant history of Creative Arts at Redlands and also to support the means-tested Belinda Oxley Scholarship.
Our Principal, Stephen Webber, provided a very insightful overview of the Creative Arts history and programs offered now at Redlands, as well as a brief history of scholarships at Redlands. Kylie Binnekamp, Redlands Board Director and current parent, spoke about Belinda’s legacy and her passion and impact on children’s education.
We also welcomed four Alumni speakers Amelia Carroll, Class of 2011, Cloudia Elder, Class of 2011, Max Glanville, Class of 2009 and Amy Cheung, Class of 1989, who were interviewed by our MCs Jonathan Gray, Dean of Activities, and Katharine Boase, Subject Coordinator of Dance and Yr 9 Assistant Advisor. This Panel discussion provided many insights about their Redlands education and individual journeys after graduating from Redlands.
We also enjoyed a wonderful musical performance from Erin Pacholke, Class of 2018, and videos of Performing Arts highlights over the past ten years.
Thank you to all our community members who contributed to this wonderful day, raising just over $40,000 which will be contributed towards the Belinda Oxley Scholarship. Thank you also goes to our young Alumni volunteers who assisted on the day.
There is still opportunity to participate by making a tax deductible donation HERE and/or purchasing a 12 pack of greeting cards featuring student art from the Prep, Junior and Secondary Schools. Order HERE
