This is Redlands

This is Redlands

In a week where we warmly welcomed a number of distinct and unique groups back onto our School grounds, I was once again reminded that our students past and present, families, staff and members of local and global communities are valued, included and celebrated through a shared connection with Redlands.

Our week commenced with our Yr 6 cohort, along with their parents and carers, visiting the Senior Campus for their eagerly awaited Secondary School Transition Session.  This session provided the opportunity for our Yr 6 students to ask questions of their Yr 7 and 11 peers, whilst parents and carers enjoyed a tour of the campus.

The Preparatory School was also in sharp focus this week with parents and carers of future Redlands students touring the precinct during an Open Morning. Head of Preparatory School, Mrs Ainslie Breckenridge and other key Junior Campus staff members showcased the many benefits and opportunities a Redlands education provides.

It was a real treat to join our Alumuni for the Platinum Girls Luncheon this week. This popular and much-loved event welcomes Redlanders who attended the School more than 50 years ago, providing a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the enduring and diverse experiences, friendships and achievements of our former students.  Our cherished  Alumni thoroughly enjoyed each other’s company and delighted in the musical performances provided by our talented students. For photos of the event, please visit the Foundation section of Note Day

The sold out Redlands Arts Luncheon is just around the corner and we are delighted to be able to share the auction items with our wider school community in order to bid. The auction has some spectacular items up for sale that include accommodation packages, food and beverage vouchers, wellbeing experiences, beautiful artwork and much more.  For further information about the Online Auction and Redlands Arts Cards winners and pre-sale, please visit the Foundation section of Note Day. A reminder that proceeds raised from this unique event will be directed to the Belinda Oxley Scholarship in acknowledgement of her dedication to Redlands and passion for education. This Redlands Foundation Scholarship is means-tested and is awarded annually for the entire six years of a Redlands Secondary School education.

Thank you for your continued guidance and support and, as ever, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Community Engagement team should you have any feedback, suggestions or questions.
