Belindas Oxley’s Legacy
This is former Principal, Dr Peter Lennox’s introduction about Belinda when she received the Roseby Award in 2013:
Belinda Oxley has made many outstanding contributions to Early Childhood at Redlands as well as to the wider life of the school. She is a long standing, dedicated, passionate and innovative staff member. She has contributed to the development of the Redlands Learning Platform, the Yr 2 program (especially Yr 2 Camp), Prep Games Day and several ICT Strategic Plans to name but a few. Belinda’s passion for Early Childhood, her expertise and high standards have helped our programs go from strength to strength over the years.
Not long after her Roseby Award in 2013, Belinda was promoted to the role of Dean of the Preparatory School, where she performed a special role in overseeing the work of the Preschool as well as assisting Mrs Harper in a range of other duties. Ill health overtook Belinda who passed away in October 2018. Her passing was greatly felt by staff and students, and a commemoration stone was laid in the garden on the Junior Campus in memory of her wonderful work both as a teacher and an administrator.
