Basketball

Over the holidays we had some fantastic opportunities on offer for our Redlands Basketball players with a sports clinic for our 1sts Boys and Girls and skills sessions available. It was great to see many students preparing for the upcoming Term 1 season. We finished the 1sts Basketball clinic with a game for both the Girls and Boys teams. The Girls played against a Manly combined team and, despite the Manly team managing to get off to an early lead, the Redlands girls managed to find their way back into the game. By the final quarter, Redlands had created a solid lead of their own which they held onto until the end of the game. The 1sts Boys played against the Northern Beaches combined boys school team. It was a closely contested game over the first three quarters and Redlands showed some great form despite not having played together since Term 4. The Northern Beaches team pulled away in the last quarter, however, it was a great pre-season hit-out for our Redlands 1sts.

We held a Redlands 3×3 tournament with 23 teams entered into five divisions, with some great games across all divisions. Hopefully, the success of this event will lead to this being an annual event for the Redlands Basketball students.

Round 1 of the Term 1 2021 season will commence on Saturday 6 February. A reminder that the most up to date Basketball information is available on Redlands Pulse. Please make this your first point of contact for all of the Redlands Sport information.
