Year 11

As the year draws to a close, I would like to wish our Yr 11 students and families a very happy and relaxing summer holiday. Our students have had a marvellous year of many and varied achievements despite the COVID-19 climate. It has been a pleasure to read students’ academic reports and gauge their progress across many disciplines. It is hard to believe that very soon, in the new year, we will be welcoming students back as the new Redlands Yr 12 2021 cohort. I hope you all find time for well-deserved rest, rejuvenation and fun with family and friends.

To mark the end of the year, Yr 11 will enjoy a pizza lunch this Friday 27 November. This will be an opportunity for us to connect over lunch as a Year Group in the new rooftop garden of the Learning Hub.

Speech Night

Next Wednesday 2 December we will join together to recognise students’ achievements at the Redlands Secondary School Speech Night at the Big Top, Luna Park. This is a compulsory school event. Please can I ask for your support and request that you reiterate our expectations for behaviour at this important formal event. Students will be reminded at our Form Assembly of the importance of this occasion and the School’s expectations for dress and grooming. Students are advised to be attentive, to refrain from chatting and of course, not to use mobile phones during the event. Thank you for your support to ensure that students behave appropriately so that we can celebrate the achievements of our exceptional new Yr 12 cohort. Further details about Speech Night will be communicated by the Head of Secondary School, Mr Corcoran in a letter to parents.
